Is that so much to ask?

All I want is some jeans so skinny it looks like they were painted on me and so dark a blue they turn my legs blue the first few times I wear them.

Nic I think these were meant for you.

I forget about online shopping because I’m so used to American stores not shipping here. Except my favourite brand of jeans is based in Melbourne and have an online store and I COULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE EXACT PAIR I WANT DIRECTLY FROM THEM AKBVAWEHLHYIBGLV.

All well, I got some skinny raw denim jeans instead. They feel really weird though.

does anything actually happen in Western Australia or is that entire state a myth

we sit around and complain about being stuck here
that’s about it

Which is funny, because having travelled Europe, WA still contains several of my favourite places in the world. Perth people have some very severe first world problems.

Significant person or event in Perth. It’s pretty damn permanent.

I’m not the only one that hopes it stays there forever, right?

I love how closed off the city is today yet there are still so many people around. Not nearly as many as normal though. It’s so peaceful and relaxing.

Gonna plan my SwanCon

Friday

  • 11:30 - Safe Spaces (because should be worth a laugh)
  • 12:30 - Interactive fiction and storytelling in games and books
  • 1:30 - Lunch
  • 2:30 - Fairy tales: a grim resurgence (to be honest, I’m surprised they didn’t use the obvious pun)
  • 3:30 - The history of Ghibli
  • 4:30 - The Disney Renaissance: Fresh Blood in the House of Mouse (because Disney)
  • 6:30 - Dinner
  • 8:00 - After Buffy: the search for awesome (because I should probably go to the panel I’m part of)
  • 9:00 - LGBTI representation in genre fiction (because this was hilaribad last year)
  • 10:00 - probably go home because tired and public transporting

Saturday

  • 11:00 - Fantastic Fashion: Redesigning Iconic Supers
  • 12:00 - Extra long lunch because nothing fun
  • 4:00 - Young adult fiction around the world
  • Maybe I just won’t come in on Saturday. I really don’t care about Saturday

Sunday

  • 9:30 - Birds of Prey (because Waddles will want me to)
  • 10:30 - Music of geeky things (maybe, not sure, may wander)
  • 11:30 - Adult/dark fantasy fiction (because I suspect hilarity)
  • 12:30 - more lunch
  • Seriously, everything I was interested in was on Friday

Monday

  • Work because fuck yeah 2.5x pay

The thing is, if this was Australia, there would be a legit chance of you knowing the person.

One time Dad asked if I knew this random guy at uni. I met him the next year and he’s now part of one of my friends groups.

Australia.

so the perth museum has a giant dinosaur in its lobby and for the next couple of months they have an exhibit on weddings and then this happened

i’ve never ever been proud of the fact that i’m from perth, until now.

A true bridezilla.

I laugh every time I see a Victorian ‘the place to be’ number plate outside of Victoria.

I’m not leaving the house until winter.

My close friends/I need pools so this is less of an issue.
