36: Where I would like to live

So, I spoke about the actual location last time, but this time I thought I’d talk about my dream house. I really like architecture so it’s something I have thought a lot about.

I want a clean, modern look. Mostly white, black and stone grey with occasional splashes of colour. Bathrooms would have a range of blues and greens as well. Thick, dark carpets you could fall asleep on in the bedrooms and home entertainment room. Large tiles elsewhere. Ideally, the house would be designed to optimise natural light and heating. I get ridiculously cold during the winter and would like to save as much on power as possible.

Huge kitchen with lots of bench space. Large marble bench. Decent sized oven. My room would need a walk in robe roughly the size of the bedroom itself. Originally I thought of separating my mens and womens clothing out but honestly there’s a bit of overlap so it may as well all stick together.

I’d want large paintings in each room. I also am interested in having mannequins throughout the main body of the house wearing various outfits which I myself wouldn’t wear but appreciate. These may freak me out if I ever wander around in the dark.

I’m not as sure with landscaping. I’d like a lot of stone and greenery and water but I’m not the best at maintaining gardens and the like so I’d like to assume I could hire a gardener.
