I’m listening to my Eurovision playlist (covers 2007 - 2012) and holy crap I have so many memories attached to these songs.
I’ve just seen and heard so much hatred. I’ve been called garbage, I’ve been called the death of fucking good music, trash, stupid, pointless and disposable. I don’t understand. I’m just trying to make people happy. And it’s such positive, fun music. Like, why are people so angry?

I never reblog shit like this, but it makes me insane when people talk so poorly of certain celebrities/musicians. And on such a large scale. They are real people… Real people who probably get bored and browse the internet and see the stupid shit you say about them. And regardless of who you are and how much fame you have, that shit takes a toll on you.
Be kind even when you think people won’t ever hear/see what you say.

Ah, I love the aria and electro part she sings so much. Lucia di Lammermoor is great. :D Even after a year of seeing operatic performances I’m still impressed by what they can do with their voices.

I saw Ovo, the Cirque du Soleil show touring in Perth at the moment, tonight and it was spectacular.
Paid a shit tonne for premium seats. Bought tickets separately to Regan just so we’d both had seats in the second row (admittedly in different blocks). I was on the centre aisle with no seats in front of me ~1m from the stage. It was the best seating ever.
The show itself was spectacular. Really enjoyed the music, which I’d heard a little of prior to tonight. The costumes and make-up were of course fantastic. The acts were brilliant, incorporating everything from nets and rope webbing to trampolines and silks. I was most impressed by the cocoon that turned into a butterfly. I want wings like that.
Even the clown acts were good. During the second act they had audience participation to hook up one of the clowns with an audience member. I was really hoping they’d pick me from the audience (so were my friends apparently) just so I could jokingly reject him and hit on the other guy. They picked a bald guy though, which was pretty great. Also, they did a remarkably good joke pointing out the hypocrisy of the audience comparing a clown crushing a cast member bug with the audience crushing bugs in their house/etc.
I sat there the whole time with a face of pure joy and amazement. I’m really sad I couldn’t take a photo of it, apparently it was something to behold though as Regan told me afterwards.
I bought a t-shirt from Cirque afterwards though just because it has wings on the back. It costs an exorbitant amount and Regan and I were judging Cirque for the cost difference between countries. But it’s pretty and I caved.
